Welcome to our new school website. Here you can find out more about our school, its history and how we serve our pupils and the local community. We can be contacted on the address and phone number above, or by e-mail at office.hightown@kirklees-schools.org.uk. We'd be happy to hear your views on any matters related to the school. We're particularly keen to hear any parents' comments as we hope to include these on the site.

Hightown First and Nursery School aims to offer a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum to all pupils to enable them to achieve their full potential irrespective of gender, cultural background or academic ability. We help pupils develop lively, enquiring minds with the ability to question and argue rationally and to apply themelves to tasks and physical activities.

We provide a secure, happy and stimulating environment in which all learning is enjoyable, and all achievements a source of pride. We ensure that all children have a strong sense of their own self-respect, of social responsibility and a sense of purpose in their academic and sporting activities.

We provide a close, friendly but purposeful working relationship between staff, parents and children whereby each child is known and respected as an individual.

We hope you find our website useful and informative and look forward to hearing from you if you have any comments. If you'd like to know more, please contact the office and we'd be happy to send you a prospectus.
